Description
Vintage glass bottle "Grand Marnier Liqueur" complete with labels, cap, state tax stamps, and original box with fold-out recipe card. Classic style with a wide tank and narrow neck; stands about 8 1/2" tall (with cap) with diameters of 4 3/8" at the tank, 1 1/2" at the neck, and 1 1/8" at top. Weighs about 1 lb. 11 oz. Capacity is 23/32 quart, as shown on front label.Bottle has four paper labels -- a rectangular one in front (with brand name, logo, "Product of France", bottle capacity, etc.); a wider rectangular one in back ("Made with Orange & Fine Cognac Brandy"); an extended oval on in back (showing origin and importer); and one wrapped around top of the neck ("Marnier Lapostolle"). There's also a red ribbon down the neck and to the front label, with a round dark red plastic stamp holding it in place. Cap is red plastic with cork.
There are two South Carolina state tax stamps on front about the label: a green one for 34 cents, and red for 17 cents. Also included is the Internal Revenue federal stamp band that was originally over the cap and neck.
Bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, nicks, scratches or marks. Tax stamps are complete. Cork in the cap is broken off (see picture); you'll need a replacement if you intend to use the bottle as a decanter. Label around the neck has wear (see picture). Box has wear from storage and transport over the years. Recipe card is excellent.
This is a fine addition to a bottle collection. Price includes shipping in the U.S.; extra cost for International delivery based on the country.
