Shreve, Crump & Low Sterling Silver Octagonal Banded Tea Caddy w Hidden Hinge
Unidentified Engraved Heraldic Crest with the lettering JAM & JAM displayed on a banner beneath the Bull's (Cow???) Head.
Unusual octagonal form with three applied bands encircling the outside with the bottom band attached to four feet.
Shreve & Co. have used this type of applied decoration with many of their other fabrications.
Hidden hinge barely visible from the outside.
Domed octagonal lid with oval finial.
Measures:  3 5/8" long x 2 15/16" wide x 4 1/8" high (to finial)
No dents, dings or repairs,
lightly polished.
Weighs 8.3 ounces on my postal scale
No monograms or monogram removal
Excellent condition with not dents or repairs.
Very slight teeter totter when standing on all four.
Possibly a match for the Shreve & Co.
