Description

George I-pattern sterling silver coffee set. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1956. This set comprises 3 pieces: coffeepot, creamer, and sugar. Georgian forms with baluster bodies (coffeepot and creamer), round and stepped foot, and vasiform finials with round and stepped mounts (coffeepot and sugar). Coffeepot cover hinged and domed, and sugar cover stepped and flat. Coffeepot handle stained-wood and capped s-scroll and creamer and sugar handles leaf-capped and double-scroll.
Fully marked including maker's stamp, date code, and nos. 201 (coffeepot), 203 (sugar), and 204 (creamer).
