Antique Birks Melon Pattern Sterling King George III Tea Set approx 3,054 Grams

Description

A large and heavy Melon pattern sterling silver tea set by Henry Birks & Sons, Montreal 1957-58. "Original Hallmark Series - 1829", comprising a teapot, coffee pot, cream jug, and sugar bowl.  With melon shaped bodies and acanthus capped scroll handles and spouts and shell feet. Total weight: 98.2 troy ounces (3054g), coffee pot is 8.75" (22.2cm) high, teapot is 10.5" (26.7cm) from handle to spout and has a 6 cup (1500ml) capacity.
This set has been very well cared for and is in excellent condition.  Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.
Please note...the tray and the tall water pot are silver plated.  They are not sterling silver but will be included in the sale of this exquisite set.
