DESCRIPTION
ANTIQUE 1920'S CAMBRIDGE CLEAR GLASS VOLSTEAD SAD DOG LIQUOR BOTTLE PROHIBITION.
The Volstead Act, officially known as the National Prohibition Act, was enacted by Congress to enforce the 18th amendment on Prohibition. The Volstead Act became effective on January 29, 1920. The Volstead Act defined "intoxicating liquors" and provided penalties for abuse of the law. Andrew J. Volstead, the Representative from Minnesota, sponsored the bill and lent his name to the act. The Volstead Act was rendered inoperative by the passage of the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition.
JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
